Short Description
This datapack adds 9 new biomes, modifies all vanilla Nether biomes except basalt deltas, and introduces several new structures.
It also changes the Nether's generation height from 128 to 160 blocks, and increases the build height limit from 256 to 288 blocks.
Added Biomes
This datapack adds the following biomes:
- ash_mountains
- burning_swamps
- cold_hell
- crystal_fields
- infected_sculk
- lava_fields
- obsidian_expanses
- rock_formations
- terracotta_forest All new biomes can be located using the command:
/locate biome beyond_the_lava:<biome_name>
In some biomes, Ancient Debris cannot generate. For example, in obsidian_expanses the surface is completely made of obsidian, making Ancient Debris generation impossible there.
Updated Biomes
The datapack updates the following biomes:
- crimson_forest
- nether_wastes
- soul_sand_valley
- warped_forest
I haven't figured out how to update basalt_deltas yet. Maybe in future versions :(
Vanilla biomes are not heavily modified, and Ancient Debris can still be found in them as usual.
Added Structures
This datapack adds the following structures:
- amethyst_tower
- lonely_house
- obsidian_house
- witch_house
- wither_altar
- monster_box
They do not contain much loot and are mainly created to make the world feel more alive. Monster_box generates in all biomes and works similarly to a vanilla dungeon with a spawner. The creation of this structure was inspired by Stellarity.
In the amethyst_tower, you can find a large amount of gold, and very rarely, a Netherite Axe with Sharpness IV in a single chest at the top of the tower. You can also encounter many Piglin Brutes there.
Installation
Installation is the same as for any other datapack. You do not need to download a resource pack for it to work correctly, since this datapack does not add any new items, blocks, or mobs.
For servers, simply place the datapack into the world/datapacks folder as usual.
