MegaTrainers
One trainer for every Mega Evolution supported by Cobblemon: Mega Showdown, built on top of Cobblemon Trainers. Each trainer hands over the matching mega stone to the player who beats them: defeat the Charizard X specialist and you get Charizardite X, and so on.

The folder is the category, so deleting megas_za/ removes those 34 trainers and breaks nothing else.
Heads up: some teams are still empty
A number of trainers still ship with "team": [] — a trainer with no team can't battle. Those are being filled in and will be complete in a future update. Everything else is already written: name, dialogue, level, difficulty, gimmick and reward.
