Copper Weathering
![]()
Copper Weathering is a Minecraft datapack that lets wind charges age copper blocks on impact.
Throw a wind charge near copper and the nearby blocks can advance by one oxidation stage:
copper → exposed copper → weathered copper → oxidized copper
Features
- Wind charges trigger copper weathering when they land.
- Supports Minecraft 26.2 copper-family blocks, including copper bulbs, grates, doors, trapdoors, chests, chains, lanterns, golem statues, and lightning rods.
- Preserves compatible block states while weathering, such as facing, waterlogging, powered state, door half, hinge, slab type, and stair shape.
- Preserves important copper chest block-entity data such as items, custom names, locks, loot tables, and components.
- Uses Radial Patterns for compact randomized impact shapes.
Requirements
- Minecraft: Java Edition 26.2
- Data pack format: 107.1
- Dependency: Radial Patterns for Minecraft 26.2
Both datapacks must be enabled in the world.
