Demon Weapon Origin
An origin I made to showcase the weapon transformation ability I made better :]
Both the origin and the ability itself are available for download
Might not be the most balanced thing out there, but I hope it's at least fun
Has some duping prevention, inluding clearing inventories, items on the ground and preventing chest interactions when you have someone as a weapon
I don't see anything that could break by having several demon weapons on one server so go wild
Powers
Active:
- Full-Weapon Transformation: Right click a player to turn yourself into a weapon for them to use [diamond sword with smite and sweeping edge by default, but feel free to change it]
Buffs
- Partial-Weapon Transformation: You have extra armour points and more damage with empty hands
- Soul Eater: Fully replenishes your hunger whenever you or the person wielding you kill a player
Nerfs
- Weapon: You deal less damage when wielding other weapons
- Appetite: You exhaust quicker
- Unsound: You can no longer turn into a weapon if below 2 hearts or 3 hunger bars
Setup
If you're using the full origin pack, just put the zip into your world like any other datapack
If you want to use the transformation power in your own origin, give your origin the "weapon_form" power, and put "weapon_meister" in the same folder. If you're on 1.20.1, you might need to rename the namespaces in the files from "dianacraft" to yours to make sure they work, as the "*:power" syntax doesn't exist in that version
Note: This version of the pack has extra functionality in the "weapon_meister" power, you can delete the "can_feed" and "on_kill" subpowers to use only the transformation essentials

I will most likely not continue updating this datapack because it was just a fun experiment that got too much attention on the Origins Discord server, however I decided I will still share it
