It's yet another minecraft enchant overhaul! What makes this different, you ask?
This datapack was made to retain the vanilla system as in tact as possible while allowing for the customisability and strategy through mixing and matching new and old enchantments under an enchant limit. The limit is lenient enough to fit most vanilla enchantments, but you have to pick between them and a slew of custom enchants!
Overview
- ~25 custom enchants, most aiming to provide QOL rather than being combat-orentiated, with some made to give weaker material items a use.
- Enchantments have a ★ limit.
- Each enchant level counts as 1★ (eg: eff 3 + unbreaking 2 costs 5★). Curses subtract ★s.
- Each item has a ★ limit, depending on the item. Weaker items generally have a higher ★ limit.
- If an item exceed the ★ limit, it becomes overenchanted and takes more durability damage. (The further it exceeds, the greater the damage.)
- Some enchants are only available at level III, hence they always cost 3★.
- Alternate ways of obtaining enchanted books.
- Books can be cloned by echo shards (tradable by wandering traders).
- Level I and II books (or III for enchants locked at that level) can be crafted with amethyst shards and a corresponding item.
- Anvil repairs do not increase in cost (No 'too expensive'). Combining enchants still increases cost, but by less.


Enchant / Misc changes
- The relevant tool is shown as part of the enchant. Worn armors also show the total protection points.
- Incompatible enchants are now compatible (except for loyalty + channeling. Fortune overrides silk touch.)
- Mending, Infinity, Multishot and the 2 vanilla curses are locked to level III (costs 3★)
- Elytras can be enchanted in the Enchanting Table
- Compasses can be cloned with an iron block (this also clones Overlode).
- Many nicher enchants, or enchants that would be too weak with the star system are buffed/changed:

| Unbreaking | On armor, is about twice as effective |
| Punch/Knockback/Flame/Fire Aspect | Twice as effective |
| Wind Burst | Boosts you when using a mace with elytra flight |
| Curse of Vanishing | Still functions when keep inventory is on |

New Enchants
Most enchants can be found on any enchanted book loot or mob equipment, but also appear in specific places. Finding the book/enchant for the first time unlocks its recipe. More details of each enchant can be found in the text files bundled with the datapack.

| (Leggings) Charge Jump I-V | Hold sneak to charge up a 1.5~8 block jump |
| (Boots) Terra Speed I-III | Increased speed on overworld surface blocks (sand/dirt/grass/ice...) at the cost of durability |

| (Compass) Overlode | Lets the compass store 10 lodestone locations |
Special Enchants: These cannot be cloned by echo shards, do not count towards the ★ limit, and are not removed with a grindstone. They are incompatible with each other. Enchantability and Amethyst Forge are very rare.

Note:
- This will most definitely not work with any other datapack/mods that add custom enchantments.
- You can modify the ★ limit by editing the datapack directly at enchantrework > tags > item > enchantable.
