Hey Everyone, this is an PokéGems legacy add-on pack. This introduces the server's old gimmick burst evolution into Cobblemon purely in datapack form!
[V 1.0] - This version adds Burst Evolution and the capability to make your own! It is also compatible with Cobblemon's upcoming version [V 1.8].
Will this pack get updated?

How Can I get the burst item?
- To give yourself the burst item, you need to run this command via console or through a command block:

The PokéGems Legacy pack [V 0.3] and higher has a built in obtain method. This item is essential to make the gimmick function, so it will need to be distributed to players to make the Gimmick work.
How do I use burst evolution?
- Burst Evolution is actually very simple to use. As long as you have a Burst Crystal item, a pokemon with a defined burst aspect model, and the molang's burst and revert arrays updated with the compatable pokemon. You then will be able to equip the Burst Crystal item on that pokemon and it will undergo Burst Evolution!!
How Can I add my own burst evolutions?
- As mentioned above, all you need to do is make sure you have a pokemon with a defined burst aspect model and the molang's burst and revert arrays updated with the compatable pokemon. You then will be able to equip the Burst Crystal item on that pokemon to undergo Burst Evolution!
How do I install the pack?
- All you need to do is drop the datapack file into your datapacks folder and then place a copy into the resource pack folder, then you should be all good to go!
Where are all the old Burst evolutions?
- This pack does not include them as its just the burst mechanic! To use them all you need to do is drop this in alongside the base [V 0.3] PokéGems Legacy pack in both your resource packs and datapacks folders. (For those that don't know, burst evolutions is the old servers gimmick - which is very similar to megas with their own caveats)
Can I use this pack on my server?
- Yes, you can even use this to make your own burst evolutions for the pack, as long as you credit the PokéGems Team.
Ozzy where did you go?
Short story: I sold my server's assets (PokéGems) to a particular well known public server, they told the original team that they can continue with the project even though they had purchased the assets. Not that long after, the PokéGems team eventually gave up on the revamp.. They had gotten permission to release the assets. No one wanted to put anything together, now here I am on the team's behalf!
