Adds in various new variants of weapons to the Vanilla game that can be created by reforging an existing (or already reforged) item at a smithing table.
All Weapon Variants and How to Craft Them
Listed below are all weapon variants and their recipes for all swords, shields, tridents, and totems.
Swords
- Shortsword (Any Sword) - Provides a faster attack speed, but decreases entity reach.
- Greatsword (Any Sword + Its Crafting Material, e. g. Iron Ingot for Iron Greatsword, etc.) - Provides additional damage and passive sweeping at the cost of attack speed.
- Longsword (Any Sword + Stick, Breeze Rod, or Blaze Rod) - Provides additional entity reach, but slightly decreases attack speed.
- Padded Sword (Any Sword + Any Wool) - Provides additional movement speed whilst held, but slightly decreases attack damage.
- Guarded Sword (Any Sword + Shield) - Slightly decreases attack speed, but allows sword blocking, which is slightly worse than shield blocking.
Axes
- Greataxe (Any Axe + Its Crafting Material, e. g. Iron Ingot for Iron Greataxe, etc.) - Provides additional damage at the cost of attack speed.
- Halberd (Any Axe + Stick, Breeze Rod, or Blaze Rod) - Extends entity reach whilst held, but does decreased damage.
- Leaping Axe (Any Axe + Wind Charge) - Provides increased jump height whilst held, but does decreased damage.
Shields
- Buckler (Shield) - Provides additional armor and armor thoughness whilst held, but cannot block attacks.
- Spiked Shield (Shield + Iron Ingot) - Provides additional attack damage whilst held, but slightly decreases movement speed.
Bows & Crossbows
- Ranger's (Cross)Bow (Bow or Crossbow + Any Boots) - Provides additional movement speed and jump height, but halves the effectiveness of armor whilst held.
- Stabilized (Cross)Bow (Bow or Crossbow + Iron Ingot) - Provides complete physical knockback resistance, but decreased movement speed whilst held.
Tridents
- Streamlined Trident (Trident + Turtle Scute) - Provides additional maneuverability in water, but has less attack damage.
- Extended Trident (Trident + Prismarine Shard) - Greatly increases entity reach at the cost of attack speed.
Maces
- Warped Mace (Mace + Eye of Ender) - Provides lower gravity and greatly increased jump height whilst held, but all fall damage is tripled.
- Flail (Mace + Chain) - Provides additional entity reach at the heavy cost of attack speed.
Totems
- Totem of Ender (Totem of Undying + Eye of Ender) - When saving the user from death, randomly teleports the user in a radius of 100 blocks and provides invulnerability for 3 seconds.
- Totem of Swiftness (Totem of Undying + Breeze Rod) - Passively increases movement speed whilst held, but does not save the user from death.
- Totem of Leaping (Totem of Undying + Rabbit's Foot) - Passively increases jump height whilst held, but does not save the user from death.
- Totem of Knockback (Totem of Undying + Wind Charge) - Passively increases attack knockback whilst held, but does not save the user from death.
- Totem of Vitality (Totem of Undying + Enchanted Golden Apple) - Passively increases maximum health whilst held, but does not save the user from death.
Important Notes
- Attribute displays on custom weapons for Attack Damage and Attack Speed may appear different to vanilla displays, as instead of giving the implicit value, it instead provides a modifier value. For reference: The default Attack Damage for players is 1, and the default attack speed for players is 4.
- Compatibility may be limited depending on the way that custom items are implemented. To avoid issues, only reforge vanilla items, and do not use reforged items in non-vanilla ways unless you know that it is compatible.
