About
We Will Be Waiting is a datapack that makes it so items dropped on death will wait for you.
Features:
- Items dropped on death:
- Will never despawn
- Are invulnerable
- Will come out of the end void and float where you can pick them up
- Can glow (configurable, off by default because lag)
- Dont spread as much (configurable)
- Configurable slots to keep (default: armour, offhand, hotbar)
- Waypoint marker when close
- Look at death pos on respawn
Configuration
The datapack can be configured by extracting it and opening its files in a text editor such as notepad.
Notable locations for config are:
- /data/easy_death/function/death/create_death_item.mcfunction
- Make items glow (warning: laggy)
- Change / disable spread
- /data/easy_death/function/death/handle_death_items.mcfunction
- Change what items drop
- Switch to old way that doesnt use keepinventory (also make sure to change init in loop to turn keepinventory off)
Note: Yes it's namespaced easy_death, I originally made it have a very similar name to the mod
