🧟 Old Baby Villager and Zombie
Bring back the classic baby mobs! Restores the pre-Tiny Takeover (1.21.11) baby zombie, baby villager and baby zombie villager models on Minecraft 26.1 — all with mixins, no resource pack required.
😤 Why this mod exists
In Minecraft 26.1 (the "Tiny Takeover" update), Mojang gave baby zombies, baby villagers and baby zombie villagers brand-new, hand-crafted "tiny" models, separate baby textures and new baby armor meshes.
And honestly? In my personal opinion, the new tiny models look terrible. 😅 The big-headed, big-eyed classic babies had way more charm — they were cute, expressive and instantly recognizable. This mod reverts them to the beloved 1.21.11 look so you can enjoy the classic babies again.
⚠️ Personal opinion disclaimer: this is just my taste! If you love the new tiny models, this mod simply isn't for you — but if you grew up with the classic baby zombies, welcome home.
✨ What it does
This mod reverts the Tiny Takeover baby model overhaul back to the 1.21.11 look:
- Baby zombie / baby husk / baby drowned — the adult mesh scaled with the classic
BABY_TRANSFORMER(head 0.75×, body 0.5×): the iconic big-head baby zombie. - Baby villager — the adult villager mesh scaled by the villager 0.9375 factor, then uniformly by 0.5×.
- Baby zombie villager — the adult zombie villager mesh +
BABY_TRANSFORMER. - Baby armor for all of the above — adult armor scaled with
BABY_TRANSFORMER, so armor lines up perfectly with the restored models. - Textures — babies use the regular adult textures again. (The 26.1
*_baby.pngtextures were drawn specifically for the tiny models and don't fit the restored UV layout.)

Only visuals change — hitboxes, scale attributes and gameplay are completely untouched. Babies still behave exactly like vanilla babies; they just look like the classics again. 🥰
🔧 How it works
100% client-side mixins — no resource pack, no world changes, no server-side requirement. Every change is a targeted mixin under io.sniperjohnny.github.client.mixin:

🚀 Installation
- Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 26.1 and download Fabric API.
- Drop this mod's
.jarinto yourmodsfolder. - Launch the game — that's it!
