Recreation of the Beeper's Vampire mod for Minecraft 1.3.2, made to be as loyal as possible to the original while being updated to the newer versions. Play as a vampire with no fancy superpowers, no super strength, regeneration, night vision or skill tress, just sun burning and blood drinking. No ritual required, you spawn as a vampire.
Features of the mod:
- Sunset at new world creation
- Player burn in sunlight
- Collect blood from animals and villagers by right-clicking them with glass bottles
- Player cannot eat any food that isn't blood
- Undead mobs (Zombies, Skeletons, Phantoms, etc) are neutral, only attacking when provoked
- Player is immune to drowning, can be turned on or off with commands
Piglins and Pillagers now count as villagers and Hoglins count as animals, but you cannot draw their blood while they are targeting someone for attack.
Villager blood no longer grants regeneration, speed or night vision, but is also much more common and renewable. Will be optional in future versions.
COMMANDS:
/IsVampire [player] [true/false]
Determines whether or not a player is a vampire on a per player basis. Default: true.
/gamerule MobsDropBottlesOnDeath [true/false]
Controls whether animals and villagers drop blood bottles on dying, this is always on in the original mod but creates glass bottles from nothing. Default: false.
/gamerule VampiresBreatheUnderwater [true/false]
Controls whether or not vampire players breathe underwater. Players could not breathe underwater in the original mod, but neither could Zombies or Skeletons. Default: true.
DayNap is required to allow the player to sleep during the day and skip the day. This mod otherwise functions just fine without it if you wish to remove it.
