Press B while holding a lantern — it snaps onto your belt. Walk, jump, fight — the lantern sways with physics and casts light near you. Need it back in your hands? Press B again. 💡

🎮 Features

✅ Working Features

• One-key toggle: Press B (configurable) to attach/detach lantern instantly
• Smart inventory: Item disappears from hand when attached, returns when detached
• Creative mode: Full support with proper item handling
• Dynamic lighting: Casts light around you (requires LambDynamicLights)
• Multiplayer ready: Full sync between players, works on servers
• Persistent: Your lantern state saves across restarts
• Death handling: Lantern drops on death (unless keepInventory enabled)

⚠️ Current Issues

• Visual rendering: Lantern 3D model not visible on belt yet (WIP)
  • All functionality works perfectly (toggle, lighting, physics)
  • You'll see the dynamic light effect but not the block model
  • This is due to significant changes in 26.1's RenderType API
• Physics simulation: Lantern sways realistically as you move ( "I am unable to confirm this yet as I haven't successfully generated the lantern visual.")

📋 Requirements

• Minecraft: 26.1+ (tested on 26.1)
• Fabric Loader: 0.18.4+
• Fabric API: 0.155.2+26.1+
• (Optional) LambDynamicLights for dynamic lighting effect

🎯 How to Use

1. Hold any lantern item (vanilla or modded)
2. Press B (or your custom keybind) — lantern attaches to your belt
3. Move around — it sways with physics and lights your way
4. Press B again — lantern returns to your hand

Tip: Works with Soul Lanterns and modded lanterns! Add custom lanterns via config.

💡 Dynamic Lighting

The lantern emits light as you move, but requires LambDynamicLights to be installed.

Without LambDynamicLights, the toggle functionality still works perfectly — you just won't see the moving light effect.

🔧 Configuration

• Keybind: Customizable in Controls settings
• Lantern list: Edit config to add modded lanterns
• Physics: Adjust sway intensity and pivot points

🌐 Multiplayer

Works perfectly on both client and server:

• Install on both for full functionality
• Server tracks lantern state for all players
• Syncs across player joins/leaves
• Persists through server restarts
