Incorporating enchanting tables into your build can sometimes be difficult due to how restrictive bookshelf placement is. Better Enchantment Boosting relaxes those restrictions a little to allow for greater flexibility when designing your enchanting area.
Enchantment Boosting:
By default, you can now place bookshelves 3 blocks away horizontally, 2 blocks above, and 1 block below the enchanting table, but this can be changed in the config. Individual candles can now provide 1/4 enchantment power (4 in a block provides 1) including candles on a cake. Chiseled bookshelves now provide 1/6 per filled slot. For comparison, a vanilla bookshelf provides 1 power.Enchantment Influencing:
Enchanted books placed in a chiseled bookshelf can influence the enchanting table, increasing the likelihood to roll that enchantment based on the total power to the table (max 30) and the item's enchantability. Using a book with a higher level will also increase the maximum level that the table can roll.
