Hello Modrinth! This mod is a very small start to a big project, adding only two recipes to the game: Turn cobblestone into gravel in a stonecutter, and turn gravel into flint in a blast furnace. Why would someone make such a silly mod?
Well, as Carl Sagan once said: "To make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe."
What even IS Lilac?
Put simply, Lilac is a series of mods (though this is the first) designed to create a system that encourages me to interact with the frameworks Mojang has laid by making them more accessible to casual players such as myself, or giving them more exciting purposes that incentivize me to interact with them now that they benefit my playstyle – all while rewarding adventure over farms or trading halls.
How does it apply to this mod?
I'll be honest, I've never built a gold farm in my life and I don't plan to. Gravel is therefore a finite resource, as is coarse dirt. I've also never crafted arrows... I just get a fletcher. If I was recording a video instead of typing a description, this is where I'd tell the editor to play a clip of me saying 'over farms or trading halls.'
At the moment, this mod is made with MCreator, because I actually don't know how to code. Once I do, I'll probably publish a new project that I've made myself, but for now, I hope someone gets use out of this mod. If you don't, that's fine - It's made for me!
