CatchCombo implements a streak mechanic to Cobblemon. Catching the same species of Pokémon repeatedly increases your catch rate multiplier and Shiny spawn chance for that specific species.
How it works:
Chaining: Your combo counter goes up every time you capture the same pokémon in a row.
Reset: Catching a different pokémon resets the combo to zero.
Spawn Boost: When a Pokémon spawns nearby, if you have a high combo for that species, the mod attempts to force it to be Shiny. Catch Rate Thresholds: The mod applies the following multipliers to your capture chance based on your current combo:
- 5+ catches: 1.5x Catch Rate
- 11+ catches: 2.0x Catch Rate
- 21+ catches: 2.5x Catch Rate
- 31+ catches: 3.0x Catch Rate (Max)
Shiny Chance Thresholds: High combos dramatically increase the chance of finding a Shiny by granting extra spawn attempts. The percentages represent the approximate chance for a Shiny spawn:
- 0-10 catches: ~0.024% (Standard)
- 11+ catches: ~0.12%
- 21+ catches: ~0.22%
- 31+ catches: ~0.32% (Max Bonus)
