Most companion mods give you a pet that follows you. This one gives you someone who remembers the trip.
Your companion keeps a diary of what actually happened: the day you tamed it, the first time it saw the Nether, the creeper that nearly ended you. Days later it brings those up on its own. It has a personality that shapes how it talks and fights, it wakes up in a different mood every day, and the longer you travel together the more it shows it: a glance across the camp, a flower handed back, a keepsake after a long while.
And it can be lost for good. When that happens it leaves behind a memento with its name on it. The next companion you tame inherits a trait from it, and speaks about the one who came before.
⚔️ It fights like a player, not like a wolf
Hostile mobs target it the same way they target you. It equips the best weapon and armour it finds, swaps mid fight, defends you when something jumps you, and goes down instead of vanishing, so you have time to get it back up. It swims after you into the deep, with three times your breath.
📈 It grows into something
Level 1 to 200, with a class of its own picked at level 10: Warrior, Rogue, Mystic, Spell Lancer, Elementalist, Miner or Villager. Along the way it becomes a walking workshop, enchanting without bookshelves, repairing, cooking, brewing, and breaking your spare gear back into materials. Slot runes into it, hand it a backpack, and at 200 let it be reborn stronger.
🏡 It has a life
Set a home and the pack patrols it, lights it up and keeps it clear. Then they dance when you drop a music disc, spar with each other, gather around campfires and talk by name, and make friends and rivals among themselves.

Your first world hands you a guide book and 10 emeralds. Find a wild companion, villages are a good bet, and give it an emerald. Everything else is in the book.
