Elytra Combat Nerf
Elytra Combat Nerf is a lightweight Fabric mod designed to balance PvP and survival gameplay by introducing restrictions on Elytra flight during combat. No longer can players instantly fly away from a fight the moment they take damage; instead, they must manage their flight time carefully or face a cooldown.
⚔️ How it Works
When a player takes damage from another entity, they enter a Combat State. While in this state:
•Limited Flight Time: Players have a restricted window of flight (default: 3.5 seconds).
•Flight Cooldown: If the flight time is exceeded, the Elytra goes on cooldown (default: 1 minute), preventing its use until the timer expires.
•Visual Feedback: Players receive action bar messages indicating their remaining flight time and current cooldown status.
•Automatic Reset: Once the combat timer (default: 5 minutes) expires without taking further damage, all nerfs and cooldowns are removed.
⚙️ Configuration
The mod is fully configurable! You can find the configuration file at .minecraft/config/elytra_combat_nerf.json.
•combatDuration: How long (in ticks) the combat state lasts after taking damage.
•maxFlightTime: How many ticks a player can fly while in combat before triggering a cooldown.
•cooldownDuration: The length of the Elytra cooldown (in ticks) once flight time is exceeded. (Note: 20 ticks = 1 second)
