Exposure for Minecraft 26.1.2
Capture moments, develop photographs, collect them in albums, and display them throughout your Minecraft world.
This project is an unofficial Fabric port of Exposure 1.9.18 for Minecraft 26.1.2. It brings the original photography experience forward to the newer Minecraft rendering and modding environment while preserving the identity and core design of Exposure.
Important: This port is currently in beta.
Back up your world before installing. Migration of Exposure data from older Minecraft versions is not supported, and existing photographs, albums, cameras, frames, or other Exposure-related data may not transfer correctly.
About this port
Minecraft's rendering systems and modding APIs changed substantially after the original 1.21.1 release. This port updates Exposure for Minecraft 26.1.2, including its capture pipeline, image readback, interfaces, entities, recipes, configuration, resources, albums, and photograph rendering.
The port aims to preserve the original experience rather than redesign the mod or introduce unrelated gameplay changes.
Among the restored and updated systems are:
- Camera capture and photograph creation
- Photograph processing and image readback
- Photograph viewing interfaces
- Albums and album rendering
- Mounted and framed photographs
- Glass photograph frames
- Recipes, ingredients, entities, and resources
- Fabric integration and configuration support
- Client and dedicated-server operation
Requirements
- Minecraft 26.1.2
- Fabric Loader
- Fabric API
- Forge Config API Port
This project supports Fabric only.
NeoForge is not currently supported. Restoring support for another mod loader would require a separate port rather than simply enabling an existing module.
Compatibility
The port is intended to remain compatible with the original Exposure gameplay and data structures wherever the current Minecraft APIs allow it.
However, this does not mean that worlds or Exposure data can be migrated safely from older Minecraft versions.
Do not upgrade an important existing world without making a complete backup first.
Compatibility with every shader pack, rendering optimization mod, resource pack, or large modpack cannot be guaranteed during the beta period. When diagnosing visual problems, first test without shaders and unrelated rendering modifications.
Project status
The project is currently considered a beta port.
The published source has passed:
- Common and Fabric compilation
- Automated regression testing
- Common and Fabric Access Widener validation
- A complete build from a fresh repository clone
- Release JAR and repository safety checks
Although the core experience is functional, previously undiscovered rendering issues, mod conflicts, or unusual world-specific problems may still exist.
Reporting issues
Please report problems through this port's own issue tracker rather than the original Exposure repository.
A useful report should include:
- A clear description of the problem
- Steps that reproduce it
- Your Minecraft and mod versions
- Your complete mod list
- The relevant client or server log
- Whether the problem occurs without shaders or resource packs
- Screenshots or recordings for visual issues
Please avoid reporting issues to the original author unless the same problem can also be reproduced in an official Exposure release.
