Hunters vs Speedrunners
A Manhunt-style game mode built right into your world — Hunters track Speedrunners, Speedrunners track the trophy, and whoever mines it first wins.
🧭 The Compasses
- Hunter's Compass (red name) — points at your nearest Speedrunner by default. Right-click to cycle to the next living Speedrunner instead — you'll get a chat message confirming the switch, and it wraps back to the first once you've gone through everyone.
- Trophy Compass (yellow name) — always points straight at the trophy.
Both update live, 4 times a second.
🔔 Proximity Flash
Get within 10 blocks of your tracked Speedrunner and:
- Action bar flashes green —
● SPEEDRUNNER NEARBY ● - A chime plays the moment you enter range
- Green particles appear near you
🏆 Winning
When a Speedrunner breaks the trophy (a player-head block) while holding a diamond pickaxe:
- Everyone sees a yellow action bar flash —
● TROPHY MINED - SPEEDRUNNER WINS ● - A "challenge complete" sound plays
- Chat announces the winner's name
Anyone else who tries — wrong role, wrong tool — has their break attempt cancelled with an explanation message.
💀 Respawning
Die as a Hunter or Speedrunner and you'll respawn already holding a fresh copy of your role's compass. No re-gearing needed.

All commands require operator permission (permission level 2).

⚙️ Running a Round
- Stand where you want the trophy and run
/settrophy - Assign Hunters with
/sethunter <player> - Assign Speedrunners with
/setrunner <player> - Go!
📝 Known Simplifications
- No lobby/start-end system — roles are assigned manually per round
- One trophy/match at a time, globally
- Trophy is a plain player head (no custom skin yet)
