Nearby Delight
Requires Farmer's Delight to work.
Built for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge).
Nearby Delight lets Farmer's Delight Cooking Pots automatically use ingredients from nearby storage.
🍳 Cook Directly From Storage

Instead of manually moving ingredients into the Cooking Pot, simply open the recipe book and select a recipe. The Cooking Pot will automatically search nearby storage for the required ingredients and use them for cooking.
✨ Features
- Automatically pulls ingredients from nearby chests and containers.
- JEI and EMI recipe transfer support.
- Configurable search radius.
🔗 Compatibility
- Compatible with popular Farmer's Delight add-ons and storage-related mods.
- Compatible with Sophisticated Backpacks when backpacks are placed in the world and used as storage containers.
📖 How to Use
- Place a Cooking Pot.
- Put ingredients in nearby storage.
- Select a recipe.
- Cook.
⚙️ Configuration
Nearby Delight can be configured through the Mod Menu or the config file.
Example
# Range: 1 ~ 16
searchRadius = 5 # Default
A lower radius may improve performance, while a higher radius lets Cooking Pots access ingredients from farther away.
⚠️ Known Limitations
Nearby storage is resynced after every recipe click, but not live — if a chest's contents change without a click happening (e.g. another player takes items), reopen the Cooking Pot to refresh.
Sophisticated Backpacks are only supported when placed in the world. Backpacks in a player's inventory or backpack slot are not accessible.
Cinnamon Cabinets from "Expanded Delight" are not currently supported as nearby storage containers.
🚀 Planned Features
- Possible Fabric support (not guaranteed).
- Maybe support Sophisticated Backpacks when worn by the player (I don't know if that's possible).
