Oblivion Gates
A standalone adventure mod the mood of these infernal-portals: burning gates that drop you into a hostile realm, a tower to climb, and a single stone at the top worth risking everything for.
The gate
Explore the Overworld until a rare ember gate generates. This rift taking you somewhere unlike any dimension seen before.

The tower
Every domain generates a seeded volcanic landscape — lava scars, ruins, spike fields, hazards — with one tower holding the rift open. The tower contains multiple layers with each increasing in difficulty and valuable loot.

Enemies
Four new enemies stand between you and the summit — Ash Wraith, Cinderling, Rift Mage, and the armored Dread Knight.

Magic
Grimoires are unique spellbooks. There are many different books and they are only obtainable in the tower as rare loot.

Nine other single-purpose grimoires each grant one temporary spell or effect while active: hurl a fireball or a homing magic missile, channel a piercing void ray, chain lightning between enemies, summon a spectral blade you can strike to launch at a target, throw a slow-moving gravity singularity, charm a hostile to fight for you, passively catch and return incoming projectiles, gain fire immunity and bonus melee power, or ward yourself with absorption, resistance, and slow falling. Only one grimoire's magic can be active on you at a time, and every spell has its own casting animation and effects.

The Sigil Stone
At the top of the tower is a Sigil Pedestal, holding the magic Sigil Stone. Claiming it destabilizes the tower and ejects every player who entered through the rift and returns them to the overworld.
Hold any enchantable weapon, tool, or armor piece in your right hand and the sigil stone in the left, then right click and the stone will add a unique enchant to the selected tool — separate pools for swords, picks, axes, shovels, hoes, bows and crossbows, tridents, shields, and each armor slot, 17 enchantments in total, none obtainable any other way.
Gear and the Deadlands itself
Beyond the core loop, the Deadlands has its own building-block palette (Charred Stone, Blood Brick, Ashen Tiles, Gilded Blood Brick, Scoria, Emberstone, Cinder Lamp) and decor (spike cages, hanging chains, braziers, rune pillars, torn banners, Gore Chests) for players who want to bring the aesthetic home. A custom Inferno Knight armor set, an Emberheart Tonic (fire resistance, absorption, and regeneration in one drink), and a thrown Infernal Bomb.
Status
Oblivion Gates is in active development (currently 0.8.0). The mod itself im sure you already guessed is inspired by the elder scroll oblivion, more development coming soon.
