Overview
Welcome to Ores and Metals, a Minecraft mod inspired by RuneScape that expands mining, crafting, and progression with new ores, metals, tools, weapons, and armor.
Discover new resources across the Overworld, Nether, and End, and progress through a full metal tier system that enhances survival gameplay from early-game mining to late-game gear progression.
Features
New Ores & Resources
Mine new ores throughout your world:
- Tin Ore → Raw Tin
- Mithril Ore → Raw Mithril
- Adamantite Ore → Raw Adamantite
- Runite Ore → Raw Runite
Additional ores and materials generate in the Nether and End, expanding mining progression across all dimensions.
Metals & Gear Progression
A full expanded metal system inspired by RPG-style progression:
- Tin → Bronze → Steel → Mithril → Adamantite → Runite
- Includes full tools, weapons, and armor sets for each tier
Power Scaling
- Bronze: slightly above Stone, Chainmail-level armor
- Steel: stronger than Iron
- Mithril: stronger than Steel
- Adamantite: just below Diamond
- Runite: slightly below Netherite
Expanded Content
This mod also introduces additional high-tier progression content and dimensional materials:
Bronze, Iron, Steel, Mithril, Adamant, and Rune arrows
Orikalkum and Necronium high-tier metals inspired by RuneScape 3
New materials and blocks include:
- Nether Drakolith Ore
- Orichalcite Debris
- End Phasmatite Ore
- Necrite Debris
- Raw Drakolith, Orichalcite Scrap, Raw Phasmatite, Necrite Scrap
- Orikalkum and Necronium ingots, blocks, tools, and armor
Progression & Upgrades
- Rune gear can be upgraded into Orikalkum using Orikalkum Ingots
- Orikalkum gear can be upgraded into Necronium using Necronium Ingots
- New ores generate naturally in the Nether and End for late-game exploration
