Pillager Knight is a server-side Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.11 that adds mounted pillager cavalry to your world.
Features
Mounted Patrols
- Patrol leaders now ride armored gray horses 100% of the time
- Regular patrol members have a 10% chance to spawn on horseback
- All mounted pillagers wield iron spears instead of crossbows
Outpost & Raid Rules
- Pillager Outposts: Only the patrol leader rides a horse; regular soldiers remain on foot to prevent overwhelming cavalry spam
- Raids: Pillagers have a 10% chance to spawn as cavalry. Vindicators and Evokers keep their vanilla behavior
- Critical fix: Horses are never added to the Raider list, so raid progress is never blocked by surviving mounts
Horse Mechanics
- Horses are gray to match pillager aesthetics
- Come pre-equipped with a saddle
- Tamed but ownerless — players can mount them immediately after killing the rider
- Average horse speed and health
Combat
- Cavalry charges at players and retreats after striking, then re-engages
- If dismounted, the pillager continues fighting on foot with the spear
- Foot soldiers use iron swords or crossbows
Installation
This is a server-side only mod. Players connecting to your server do not need to install anything.
