Sanity Mod is a psychological horror mod that adds a sanity system and frightening visual and sound effects.
Main Features
Sanity system (0–100) — default 100
Sanity decreases:
at night, in the dark
underground and in caves
after prolonged inactivity
Restores:
during the day, in bright light
near torches, campfires, or a bed
sleeping in a bed: +20 sanity
Effects by Sanity Level
50–70 (Medium)
- slight screen dimming
- whispers, fake footsteps
10–50 (Low)
- camera shaking
- HUD glitches
- black screen flashes
- fake mob sounds
- red alert messages
0–10 (Critical)
- strong camera shaking and rotation
- mini-teleports
- visual "Fake" damage
- VHS effects, red filter
- Rare fake crash (restores sanity to 30)
HUD
Sanity indicator in the upper left corner:
- 🟢 70–100 — safe
- 🟡 30–70 — alarming
- 🟠 10–30 — dangerous
- 🔴 0–10 — critical
