Can you beat Minecraft before it rewrites you?
Rewritten is a survival challenge mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 where the world isn't your biggest enemy—you are.
As time passes, an unknown force slowly rewrites your character. Every few minutes the rewrite progresses, making survival increasingly difficult with new debuffs, visual effects, sounds, and an ever-growing sense of urgency.
Your only objective is simple:
Beat Minecraft before the Rewrite reaches 100%.

Instead, you'll have to manage your time wisely while racing to defeat the Ender Dragon before your own body turns against you.
Every decision matters.
Do you spend extra time mining?
Do you search for better gear?
Or do you risk everything and rush the End?
Installation
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Minecraft Forge
- Place the mod inside the
modsfolder. - Launch Minecraft using the Forge profile.
Compatibility

- Can be used in multiplayer if installed on both the client and the server.

The Rewrite progresses automatically over time.
As corruption increases, additional negative effects are introduced in stages, including:
- Nausea
- Mining Fatigue
- Slowness
- Weakness
- Blindness
- Hunger
Each Rewrite stage is accompanied by visual and audio feedback to increase tension.
Near the end of the Rewrite, the player briefly experiences a recovery phase where negative effects disappear and beneficial effects are granted.
However...
Once the Rewrite reaches 100%, the process completes and the player dies instantly.
There is no escape except defeating Minecraft before time runs out.
