What This Does
Reach-around ("Bedrock bridging") block placement. Aim at a gap instead of a solid face and it works out where you meant to build.
Features
- Bedrock-style reach-around placement on all 6 axes
- Crosshair indicator shows when a gap-fill placement is available and which face it'll build against
- World-space outline previews exactly where the block will land, including correct half-height boxes for slabs
- Slabs placed into a gap pick the right half based on where you're actually looking
- Works standalone, no dependencies required
- Stays correct while riding a moving Sable physics contraption — the outline tracks smoothly through rotation and movement, not just when stationary
- Toggle keybind to turn reach-around assist on/off
- Config to tune reach distance, direction-similarity threshold, and slab snap strength; outline preview can also be disabled entirely if you'd rather bridge without it
Compatibility
No hard dependency on Sable — install it for sub-level support, or don't and just get an ordinary bridging mod. Tested alongside Create, including shafts, gearboxes, Deployers, and Filters.
Known limitations
- Non-slab, non-full-block shapes (stairs etc.) get a full-block outline approximation — placement itself is unaffected, vanilla handles the actual shape
- No vertical slab-combining as an assisted placement (regular separate placement still works fine)
- Reach-around placement is a real gameplay advantage, same as any bridging mod — best suited to singleplayer or servers where everyone's fine with it being in use
