Simple Command Whistle is a simple mod that adds whistles to command your pets!
This mod was designed to be highly customizable and compatible with other mods to enhance the experience of dealing with tamed mobs.
The only item added by this mod is the aforementioned Command Whistle.
You can easily craft it using 3 planks, 1 log, and any type of vanilla crystal (diamonds, amethyst, emerald, quartz, primarine, or an Echo Shard if you're feeling fancy).
Whistle Modes
You can change the whistle mode by pressing Shift + Right Click to move to the next level. The available modes are: Passive, Move, Attack, Stand, and Sit.
Passive
Being the primary reason for the creation of the mod, Passive mode forces your tamed mobs to stop attacking their current target, which can help prevent accidents while playing in multiplayer and stop your pets from killing something they weren't supposed to.
Move
Move mode lets you select a block for your tamed mobs to move towards. It works best when paired with a mod that allows tameable mobs to not follow their owners all the time.
Attack
Attack mode allows you to select targets for your tamed mobs to attack without you having to attack them first
Stand/Sit
Two similar modes with opposite functions that allow you to make your tamed mobs stand up or sit down around you without having to interact with each one individually.
Config
This mod offers extensive config options so you can customize it to better suit the experience you're looking for.
Whistle Range
Sets the range of the whistle and its functions (too high values may cause performance issues)
Whistle Cooldown
Defines how long it takes before a command can be executed again after using the whistle.
Sit/Stand Switch
Determines whether, instead of having two separate modes, a single mode will be responsible for making sitting mobs stand up and standing mobs sit down. (Works best when paired with Single Target Sit/Stand)
Single Target Sit/Stand
Makes the "stand up" and "sit down" commands apply only to the mob you are looking at.
Particles
Allows you to choose whether or not you want the whistle commands to emit visual effects to signal the actions performed
Whistle Modes
Lets you choose which commands you want to include in the whistle
Blacklist
List of mobs that cannot be affected by the whistle
Attack Blacklist
List of mobs that cannot be commanded to target other mobs with the attack mode.
Taget Blacklist
List of mobs that cannot be selected as targets with the Attack mode.
Self Target
Determines whether or not you can select yourself as a target in Attack mode (disabled by default for obvious reasons)
Known Issues
- Mods that implement their own stand-up/sit-down system for their tamed mobs may not work properly with the whistle
