Snowfall in Every Biome
Snowfall in Every Biome allows snow to fall in every biome while preserving each biome's original characteristics.
Instead of converting biomes into snowy variants or changing their temperature, vegetation, colors, or other environmental properties, this mod keeps the original biome behavior intact and simply enables snowfall.
This means deserts, jungles, savannas, forests, and other normally warm biomes can experience snow without losing their unique atmosphere and biome-specific features.
Requirements
- Architectury API is required for this mod to work.
Features
- Enables snowfall in all biomes
- Preserves the original biome properties
- Does not replace or convert existing biomes
- Keeps biome-specific vegetation, colors, terrain, and environmental characteristics
- Makes it possible to create a winter-style world without completely changing biome identity
- Hostile mobs can spawn even during daytime, making snowy worlds more dangerous and challenging
Perfect for players who want a snowy Minecraft world while keeping the diversity and characteristics of the vanilla biomes.
World Generation Mod Compatibility
Snowfall in Every Biome has also been confirmed to work with some world-generation mods, including:
- Tectonic
- Terralith
Other world-generation mods may also work, but compatibility has not been fully tested.
Recommended Mod
For an even more immersive winter experience, using Snow! Real Magic! alongside this mod is highly recommended.
Snow! Real Magic! adds additional snow-related features and visual improvements that complement Snowfall in Every Biome and make snowy environments feel more natural and immersive.
Snow Accumulation Speed
The snow accumulation speed can be adjusted using the following command:
/seb tickspeed <value>
Change <value> to control how quickly snow accumulates in the world.
Compatibility Notice: When using Snow! Real Magic!, this command may not work due to conflicts between the two mods. Snow accumulation behavior may be overridden by Snow! Real Magic!, preventing
/seb tickspeedfrom functioning correctly.
