SOUL ASCENSION

SOUL ASCENSION is a configurable RPG progression mod that gives your character a real sense of development. Deal damage, gain character experience, level up, earn attribute points, and shape a build that matches your playstyle.
Instead of replacing Minecraft combat, SOUL ASCENSION expands it with a progression system designed to work in vanilla-style worlds, RPG modpacks, magic packs, combat overhauls, and multiplayer servers.
Character Progression
Combat gradually increases your character level. Every new level grants points that can be invested into five core attributes:
- Strength — increases offensive power
- Endurance — improves health, armor, and survivability
- Agility — improves movement and attack speed
- Intelligence — enhances experience gain and magic-focused attributes
- Perception — improves luck and utility-focused bonuses
Point allocation uses a preview system: adjust your planned build, review the resulting bonuses, and confirm everything at once. Closing or cancelling the screen discards pending changes.
The maximum level, progression speed, attribute rewards, caps, and balance can all be configured by modpack authors and server owners.
Native Mod Integrations
SOUL ASCENSION 2.0 introduces deeper compatibility with popular RPG and combat mods.
Epic Fight
When Epic Fight is installed, SOUL ASCENSION automatically enables native rewards for:
- Strength
- Endurance
- Agility
These bonuses use Epic Fight's own systems and are applied without making Epic Fight a required dependency.
Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks and Apothic Attributes
Attributes provided by Iron's Spells, Apothic Attributes, and other installed mods can automatically appear in the Character Screen alongside vanilla attributes.
Their rewards and categories can be configured, allowing Intelligence, Endurance, Agility, and other stats to become meaningful parts of larger RPG modpacks.
SOUL ASCENSION remains fully playable without any of these optional mods.
Character Screen
Open a dedicated RPG-style interface to view:
- Character level and progression
- Available attribute points
- Current and previewed stat values
- Vanilla and compatible modded attributes
- Attribute categories and detailed descriptions
- Unlocked and selected titles
- Optional integration information
At the configured maximum level, the progression bar becomes fully filled and clearly displays MAX LEVEL.
Titles and Achievements
Unlock titles by reaching progression milestones and completing configurable objectives.
Titles can depend on:
- Character level
- Attribute values
- Entity kills
- Items collected
- Blocks mined
- Playtime
- Previously unlocked titles
- Installed mods
Modpack creators can add or replace titles through datapacks and resource packs.
Items
Soul Badge
Opens your Character Screen and allows you to inspect another player's public character profile.
Soul Lens
A mystical spyglass-like tool that displays a compact overview of another player's public build while you aim at them.
Amnesia Scroll
Resets allocated attributes and refunds the available points.
Potion of Withered Memory
A dangerous alternative way to reset your build through a custom brewed potion.
Black Books
Rare Black Books permanently increase one matching characteristic:
- Strength
- Endurance
- Agility
- Intelligence
- Perception
They have no crafting recipes and can be discovered as rare loot in dangerous structures such as stronghold libraries, ancient cities, woodland mansions, end cities, and dungeon chests.
