The LUMINOUS mod aims to illuminate and expand the base Minecraft experience. Adding new ambient mobs, biome specific hostile mobs, decorative blocks, many new blocks and wood sets, and huge legendary beasts to hunt! LUMINOUS has something for everybody! This mod is a part 1 of 2. A second and much larger mod is in development, and will focus on story, combat, new dimensions to explore, and new bosses to fight! BIOME OVERHAULS - the first biome overhauled is the Forest Biome, adding Deer/Fawn that run from the player if they get too close, and drop venison equivalent to Mutton (Inspired by the familiar Fauna mod by FortStride) The forests are also home to Squirrels, which come in 4 variants, scattered across Forest, flower forests, dark oak forests, and snowy taigas. Another new mob is the BUTTERFLY, floating around the world with 21 different variants. Another Biome being overhauled is the Birch forest, with 3 butterfly variants, new soft birch trees; with taller appearance and yellow leaves. the taiga forest will become the home of the new FIREFLIES - ambient creatures that bring the forest to life. New, taller taiga trees populate these now dense forests. The desert biomes are also getting overhauled, with palm trees, crabs, and buried ancient structures. Finally, the savannah gets a massive overhaul, adding Baobab trees, Zebras, and new grass and dirt types native to the savannah biome. DECORATIONS -Using the new tool, the HAMMER, you can rotate and change new DECORATIVE blocks through their variants. Place 3D potions, book stacks, tables, double height torches, cauldrons, shelves, and more! MOB VARIANTS - 10 new mob variants include frigid zombies and skeletons, found in cold biomes, Miner zombies and skeletons, found underground, the sunken, a skeletal variant of the drowned, the hollow, a skeleton variant of the husk, variant savannah zombie/skeletons, and swamp zombies/skeletons. LEGENDARY BEASTS - these tougher, rarer monsters can be found rarely in select biomes around the world. Each will drop trophies, custom music discs, and, after each is slain once, they have a chance to drop a rare and legendary item!Check out the TRAILER here
