The Waiting is a psychological horror mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 Fabric, built around tension, silence, paranoia, and the feeling that something in the world has started paying attention to you.

This mod is not about normal combat.
It is not about constant attacks.
It is not about loud horror every minute.

Instead, it is about what happens when normal survival slowly stops feeling safe.

What kind of experience is this?

At first, the world may seem almost normal.

Then small things begin to feel wrong:

• Something appears far away and stays there
• Familiar places start to feel watched
• Silence starts to matter
• Your habits begin to feel noticed
• Things repeat in ways they should not
• The world feels less random and more aware

The horror comes from:

• Waiting
• Uncertainty
• Distance
• Repetition
• Being observed
• Familiar spaces becoming uncomfortable

This mod is meant to create the feeling that the world is not hostile in the usual way, but it is no longer neutral either.

What to expect while playing

You should expect:

The goal of The Waiting is simple:

To make Minecraft feel like Minecraft, but no longer like a world that belongs only to you.

Current state

This version is 0.1.0-alpha.

That means:

• The main atmosphere is already present
• The core idea is working
• Balance, pacing, and reliability are still being refined
