What?

This pack tries to replicate the Ascend ability from the game Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

With this ability you can rise through a ceiling above you, aslong as the ceiling isn't too far away and the exit of the ceiling is big enough for you to stand in. It's very fun to just ascend from deep caves to the overworld.

Installation

Ascend uses my oen library project called FuseBox, so when installing Ascend you will need to install the datapack/mod FuseBox too (dependencie). When installing Ascend as a datapack you will also need to download and use the extra resourcepack for the custom item to work properly. This isbnot necessary for the mod version.

How to get it

To use the ability, you can craft the Ascend item with 4 prismarine shards and 1 diamond with the following recipe:

How to use

You need to stand under a ceiling that is at least 3 blocks high or at max 7 blocks high. The thickness of the ceiling doesn't matter. It will not work if there is a single block high hole inside of the ceiling on your x and z position (so if there is a gap in the ceiling at the postion you want to ascend, the gap has to be at least 2 blocks high so that you can stand in it). To use it, you have to hold the Ascend item in you main hand. If there are green/blue particles on the ceiling this means an Ascend is possible. Right click with the item and you will rise to the ceiling and after 3 seconds you will see the exit of the ceiling. From there you either right click with the item again to exit the ceiling (on the top) or you press shift while holding the item to go back down again and cancel the ascend. While ascending you are vulnerable.
