Voxy Android Compat
A small compatibility mod that lets Voxy run on Android, under Zalith Launcher 2.
⚠️ Do not ask Voxy or Zalith for support with this
This is an unofficial, independent compatibility mod. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by either project.
- Voxy's author does not support PojavLauncher-family launchers, including Zalith, and has said so explicitly. Do not open Voxy issues about Android, and do not ask for help there.
- Zalith Launcher's maintainers did not build this stack and are not responsible for it.
If something goes wrong, bring it here — not to them. Please only report a problem to Voxy or Zalith if you can reproduce it without this mod and its companion plugins installed.
This mod does nothing on its own
Voxy needs desktop OpenGL 4.6, which Android does not have. Supplying it takes a whole graphics stack, shipped as three companion APKs that Modrinth cannot host. Install them from the GitHub release or this mod will not help you.
On desktop this mod deliberately does nothing at all — it defers to Voxy's own behaviour, so there is no reason to install it there.
What it fixes
Two things that stop Voxy on Android, both in Voxy's own code:
libc.so.6— Voxy loads the glibc library name, which does not exist on Android's Bionic. It means to tolerate the failure but catchesExceptionwhile the failure is anError, so it kills the game during startup. This routes it into the fallback Voxy already wrote.- Storage backend — Voxy defaults new worlds to RocksDB with ZSTD compression, whose native libraries are not built for Android, so world loading hangs. This defaults Android worlds to plain RocksDB, whose natives the companion plugin supplies.
