Wands & Wizardry is a magic mod inspired by Noita's wand and spell system. You can find wands underground, in the Nether and in the End. Each wand has its own stats and contains random spells which can be modified with the Wandbuilding Table. Spells can also be found in some loot containers.
The Wandbuilding Table
Wands can be modified at a wandbuilding table which is crafted with some polished deepslate, lapis, a crafting table and a diamond. The wandbuilding table will allow you to insert and withdraw spells from a wand.
Spell Types
There are 5 different types of spells in the mod, all serving different purposes: Projectiles, Projectile Modifiers, Multicasts, Utility Spells and Other Spells.
Projectile spells are the core of most wands, casting a projectile that can be used for dealing damage, digging, movement and more.
Projectile modifiers are placed behind projectile spells, which will modify their behaviour (for example, speed up will increase its speed, homing will make it fly towards hostile mobs).
Multicast spells will increase the number of spells cast at once, for example placing a double cast behind 2 spark bolts will shoot them both at once, rather than 1 after the other. Placing a projectile modifier spell before a multicast will make all projectile spells included in the multicast affected by that modifier.
Utility spells can be used for many purposes, for example Long-Distance cast will cast the next spell 4 blocks in the player's look direction, All-Seeing Eye will give the caster night vision and nearby entities glowing, Summon Platform will create a temporary magical platform etc...
Other spells can not be found naturally in wands or loot containers, they are very powerful but more complicated to obtain than regular spells.
Limited Spells
Some spells have a limited number of casts, meaning you must use them sparingly. You can also craft a Wand Recharging Station, which will allow you to refresh all limited spells in a wand every 10 minutes.
Other Features
The Wand Pedestal is a craftable block for displaying and storing your favorite wands. By right-clicking a wand pedestal with a wand in-hand, You will place that wand on the pedestal, right-clicking a pedestal holding a wand will withdraw it to your inventory.
The Hidden Realm is a new dimension containing new blocks, an explosive hostile mob and a challenging bossfight. You can acquire new building blocks and powerful spells in this dimension.
