Warping Ocular
Have you ever thought about how practically useless the spyglass is in modern Minecraft? This mod aims to fix that and turn it into a truly functional item.
The mod introduces an item that inherits the behavior of the vanilla spyglass while featuring unique textures, models, and mechanics, as well as upgrade paths.
Warping Ocular:
- The entire mod revolves around it 🥶🤓
- Crafting: Crafted with a spyglass in the center, an Eye of Ender in the top-right corner, 1 iron ingot above and to the right of the spyglass, and redstone dust in the bottom-left corner.
- Appearance: Resembles an iron scope with an Eye of Ender layered over the lens.
- Usage: Hold RMB while holding the item to look through it.
- Mechanism: Looking through the sight zooms in your vision and lets you view the world through the eyes of an Enderman.
- Teleportation: Aim at your desired location and left-click (LKM) to teleport.
- Requirements: Requires Ender Pearls in your inventory to activate.
- Cooldown: Goes on a 5-second cooldown after each teleportation.
- Visuals: Spawns particles around you upon teleporting.
- Durability: Consumes durability per use and starts with 64 max durability.
- Enchantments: Can be enchanted with Unbreaking, Mending, and Curse of Vanishing.
- Repairing: Can be repaired on an anvil using Amethyst Shards.
- Combining: Can be combined with another ocular on an anvil (vanilla mechanic).
Farsightedness I & II:
- Additional enchantments for the ocular that increase the maximum teleportation distance from the base 64 blocks up to 96 and 128 blocks, respectively.
- Level I Book: Obtained via a lore-friendly recipe (by applying the "Eye" armor trim using Lapis Lazuli to a book).
- Level II Upgrade: Created by combining two Level I books on an anvil or by applying a second Level I book directly to the ocular.
The mod runs on Fabric starting from Java 26.2 and requires Fabric API.
