YT Party
Listen to YouTube together in Minecraft — everyone in a party hears the same track at the same moment. Play, pause, seek, skip and edit the queue, and it stays perfectly in sync for the whole room. Audio is decoded and played on each client, so only tiny control messages travel over the network.
Features
- Synced playback — same track, same position, for everyone in the party
- Shared controls: play / pause / seek / skip / reorder, live for all listeners
- Queue videos one by one, or paste several links at once — one URL per line — in the list editor
- Repeat, auto‑remove and full queue editing
- SponsorBlock — skip sponsor segments automatically
- Per‑player volume and an optional now‑playing HUD
- Parties with invites, permission levels and public / private rooms
- Solo mode works out of the box — no server needed
How it works
Install the mod (requires Fabric API) and open the party screen with the keybind (J) — it works solo right away. To listen with others, either connect to a self‑hostable relay from the in‑game Relay screen, or join a Minecraft server running the YT Party server mod or Bukkit plugin (no client setup needed). All of them speak the same protocol, so the experience is identical.
This project ships two jars: the main jar players install, and a separate minimal server jar for Fabric server owners (server‑side party logic only — no UI or audio). Bukkit servers use the plugin instead.
