⚔️ Attribute Steal

💡 The Pitch

Attribute Steal is the chaotic evolution of the classic Lifesteal SMP. Instead of stealing hearts—a mechanic that has been done to death since 2021—players permanently steal physical core attributes from each other after every PvP kill.

Every time you eliminate another player, the plugin randomly steals one of three attributes:

🏃 Movement Speed
⚔️ Attack Damage
🦘 Jump Height

The victim permanently loses 10% of that attribute, while the killer permanently gains 10% of the same one.

There are no meaningful power caps by default.

A player with 50+ kills can become:

💨 Blindingly fast
💥 Able to deal massive damage
🏙️ Capable of jumping over buildings

Meanwhile, their victims slowly become crippled, struggling to run, fight, or escape—creating hilarious power imbalances and unforgettable SMP moments.

⚙️ How It Works

✅ Only real PvP kills trigger Attribute Steal.

Ignored deaths include:

☠️ Environmental deaths
👾 Mob kills
💀 Suicides

When Player A kills Player B:

🎲 A random enabled attribute is selected.
📉 The victim loses the configured steal percentage.
🛡️ The value is clamped to the configurable minimum floor (default: 30% of the original attribute).
📈 The exact stolen amount is transferred to the killer.

If the victim has already reached the minimum cap:

❌ No attribute is stolen.

Both players receive a clear message explaining that the victim has already reached the minimum limit.

If only part of the configured percentage can be stolen before reaching the floor, the killer receives that partial amount instead.

This keeps gameplay fair while still rewarding successful PvP.

💾 Storage & Persistence

Attribute Steal stores all data directly inside each player's PersistentDataContainer (PDC).

Whenever a player joins, respawns, or steals an attribute, the plugin rebuilds the live Bukkit AttributeModifier from the saved PDC values.

The result is a completely plug-and-play experience with zero external dependencies.

Default: +500%
