SeedGuard Plugin
A Simple plugin to try to stop players that are using a seed cracker mod on their client.
WARNING:
This plugin slightly modifies the generation of vanilla structures as a form of obfuscation.
We cannot guarantee that this plugin will work as intended and are not responsible for any issues or leaked world seeds. See Here
What does it do?
SeedGuard makes three changes to your server:
- Fake hashed seeds - The seed value sent to clients is replaced with a meaningless number. Your real seed is never transmitted.
- Randomized End spikes - The End spike pillars are shuffled/moved slightly on first load. Their fixed vanilla layout can otherwise be used to narrow down a seed.
- Structure salt check - On startup, the plugin checks
spigot.ymlfor any structure salts still left at their vanilla defaults, requiring more than just the seed to recreate structure locations.
Setup
Download a fitting version of this plugin for your Minecraft Paper server.
After moving the downloaded jar into the plugins folder, start your server.
NOTE:
The server will stop immediately after the first start to apply all changes.
After that everything will be setup.
Existing Chunks
The game has one larger limitation that we currently haven't worked around.
Because the world-gen is changed, we can only guarantee this plugin to work in newly generated chunks.
That is why we recommend to install the plugin before the first start of the server, or to delete the world folder after installation. Deleting the world is only possible if you don't have anything you want to keep.

This plugin is currently in an experimental state, and we won't assure that this works, and won't take any responsibility for e.g. leaked seeds. This plugin might have issues or, stop doing its job, in combination with other plugins or datapacks.
We will test this plugin regularly in our own projects to see how effective our approach really is.
