EnderBan

EnderBan is a lightweight and performant server plugin that prevents players from storing configured items in their Ender Chests.

Administrators can define a list of blocked Minecraft materials in config.yml. When a player attempts to put a blocked item into an Ender Chest, EnderBan automatically cancels the action and returns the item to the player. If their inventory is full, the item is dropped at their feet instead.

Configuration

The lang setting controls the language used for EnderBan's player-facing messages.

Supported languages:

• en — English
• ru — Russian
• es — Spanish

If an unsupported value is entered, EnderBan automatically falls back to English.

The blocked items list contains Minecraft Material names that players are not allowed to store in Ender Chests. Add the materials you want to prevent to this list, for example BEDROCK, COMMAND_BLOCK, or BARRIER.

How It Works

EnderBan listens for Ender Chest inventory interactions and checks whether an item being inserted matches one of the configured blocked materials.

When a blocked item is detected:

1. The inventory action is canceled.
2. The item is returned to the player.
3. If the player's inventory is full, the item is dropped nearby.
4. A localized message informs the player that the action is not allowed.

The plugin intentionally performs a simple ItemStack#getType() comparison by default, keeping the checks fast and predictable.

Commands

/ebreload — Reloads the EnderBan configuration.

Permissions

No special permissions are required for normal operation.

Compatibility

EnderBan is designed for modern Minecraft server environments and focuses on providing the same lightweight protection without unnecessary dependencies.

The plugin is intended to support multiple modern server versions and plugin platforms in a single distribution where possible.

Performance

EnderBan is intentionally minimal. It performs only the checks necessary to prevent blocked materials from being placed into Ender Chests and does not continuously scan inventories or run unnecessary background tasks.

Future Development

The project is being expanded with broader Minecraft version compatibility and support for additional server plugin platforms, while keeping the plugin lightweight and easy to configure.
