Hopper Optimiser improves performance of hoppers on Spigot servers. This plugin reduces the lag caused by hopper systems while keeping behaviour somewhat similar to vanilla, although it adds extra things such as being able to increase the speed.
Redstone still works as expected. Farms still function normally. The thing that changes is behind the screens.
🚀 Performance Improvements
The plugin optimises item transfer handling to reduce strain on server resources.
Hoppers remain consistent with vanilla logic, but with less TPS and processor usage. This makes a big difference on servers with:
- Storage systems
- Item sorters
- Farms
- High player activity
Speed settings are configurable, so you can decide how closely it follows vanilla behaviour versus how much optimisation you want.
📦 Crafter Distribution
Hopper Optimiser also includes accurate distribution for crafters.
Speed 9
- Distributes 1 item evenly into each slot
Speed 10
- Distributes 1 item into each slot
- Continues to bring 1 to the first slot
This ensures predictable behaviour for item farms and automation setups.
⚙️ Configuration
The config is simple. No unneeded settings.
You can adjust and/or toggle:
- If optimisation is enabled
- Crafter speed
- Item transfer amount
- Transfer cooldown (transfer frequency)
- Check interval (ticks between for checking items)
