MySimpleDiscordWhitelist

MySimpleDiscordWhitelist lets you manage your Minecraft server's whitelist directly from Discord. Admins whitelist players with a single slash command and can link a Discord account at the same time — linked members automatically receive a configurable Discord role, which is removed again the moment they're taken off the whitelist (and they're kicked immediately if still online).

Players who were whitelisted by Minecraft name only can self-link their account afterwards: requesting a one-time code with /link in Discord and redeeming it in-game with /linkcode <code>.

On top of whitelist management, the plugin keeps an auto-updating server status embed in a channel of your choice (online/offline, player count, player list, MOTD), posts join/leave notifications, and shows the live player count in the bot's Discord presence.

Requirements

• Purpur or Paper 1.21.x, Java 21
• A Discord bot application (free, created via the Discord Developer Portal) with the Server Members Intent enabled and Manage Roles permission in your server

This plugin manages the server's regular vanilla whitelist (whitelist.json) — white-list=true must stay enabled in server.properties.

Setup

1. Create a Discord bot and invite it to your server (scopes bot + applications.commands).
2. Drop the plugin jar into your plugins folder and start the server once to generate config.yml.
3. Fill in your bot token, guild ID, whitelist role ID, and the channels you want to use.
4. Restart the server — the bot connects automatically and registers its slash commands.
