OpsCraft Lifesteal

A clean, modern take on the classic lifesteal mechanic. Built for Paper 1.21+ with full MiniMessage support, sensible defaults, and zero external dependencies.

Free forever. A Pro version with premium features (heart items, /withdraw, revive book, PAPI, Discord webhook) is planned.

Features (v0.1.0)

Kill a player → gain a heart — configurable amount, capped at max
Die → lose a heart — configurable, works with any death cause or PvP-only filter
Hit 0 hearts → eliminated — pick your mode: kick (rejoins get silently kicked, no chat spam) or spectator
Permanent by default — no auto-unban; admins bring players back manually (or via v0.2's /lifesteal reset)
Persistent — hearts survive reconnects and server restarts (uses PDC, no external DB)
Grace period for new players so they aren't instantly farmed
World whitelist / blacklist / all-worlds — flexible multi-world support
PvP-only filter — optionally only lose hearts to player kills, not fall damage
Full MiniMessage support in all in-game text (gradients, hover, click, colors)
Every string customizable — 100% of messages live in config.yml
Silent rejoin handling — an eliminated player who rejoins gets silently kicked with no join/leave/elim broadcast
Zero dependencies — no PAPI, no Vault, no external anything required

Installation

Drop OpsCraftLifesteal-0.1.0.jar into your Paper plugins/ folder
Restart your server
Edit plugins/OpsCraftLifesteal/config.yml to taste
Restart to apply

That's it. No permissions setup, no external database, no dependencies.

Requirements

Paper 1.21+ (tested on Paper 26.1.2 build 72)
Java 21+ (Paper 26.1+ requires Java 25 runtime)
No other plugins required
