Turn current players into recruiters without paying instant rewards to disposable alt accounts.

RallyRefer is a lightweight Paper and Folia referral plugin. A reward is paid only after the invited player reaches a configurable playtime threshold and passes practical anti-abuse checks.

What is RallyRefer?

Each player's name is their referral code. A new player runs /rally refer <name> shortly after joining. When that new player stays long enough, both sides receive their configured reward.

Features

• In-game item editor — use /rally refer edit to edit the new-player and inviter item rewards. Custom names, enchantments, model data, NBT, and filled shulkers are preserved.
• Reward on qualification, not signup — invited players must actually play before anyone is paid.
• Same-IP protection — obvious same-address referrals can be blocked.
• Daily inviter cap — limit how many referrals one player can cash out per day.
• Claim window — prevent established accounts from assigning a referrer long after joining.
• Rewards for both sides — give items, Vault money, and any console command.
• Offline inviter queue — an inviter who is offline receives the current reward on their next join.
• Folia-ready — playtime is measured from session time without ticking tasks.
• PlaceholderAPI support — show referral codes, counts, referrers, and qualification status.
• Simple storage — one flat YAML file, no database setup.

How it works

1. An existing player shares their name as a referral code.
2. A new player runs /rally refer <code> during the claim window.
3. The new player reaches the required playtime.
4. Anti-abuse rules are checked, then both players are rewarded.

Commands

When RallyDaily is not installed, the standalone aliases /vouch and /vouchadmin remain available.

Requirements

• Paper, Purpur, or Folia 1.20+
• Java 21
• Optional: PlaceholderAPI, Vault, and an economy plugin

Installation

1. Put the RallyRefer JAR in your server's plugins folder.
2. Restart the server.
3. Set the qualification time, claim window, same-IP rule, and daily cap in plugins/RallyRefer/config.yml.
4. Run /rally refer edit to build both item reward tracks in-game.
5. Test the complete flow with two player accounts before launching it publicly.

Important behavior

If a referral fails an anti-abuse check, it is marked as processed and pays nothing. Offline inviter rewards use the current configured reward when delivered. If an inventory is full, only leftover items are dropped safely at the player's feet.
