Introduction
Do you love the new Mace and Wind Burst enchantment in Minecraft 1.21, but don't want to give up your sword's attack speed, Fire Aspect, or Knockback?

This plugin is for you! (Honestly, it's not that big a deal.)

WindBurstSword removes the vanilla restriction and lets you apply Wind Burst to swords, while keeping all their original enchantments. Now you can take a Diamond Sword with Sharpness V, Fire Aspect II, Knockback II, and Wind Burst III, jump off a high place, and land a smash attack with a wind explosion—totally new combat fun!

Features

• ✅ Wind Burst on swords – Apply Wind Burst books via anvil or the /enchant command to any vanilla sword (wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond, netherite).
• ✅ Full enchantment compatibility – Sharpness, Knockback, Fire Aspect, Looting, etc., all work normally.
• ✅ Smash attack – When you fall from over 1.5 blocks and hit a mob, you trigger a Smash Attack.
  • Extra damage scales with fall height:
    • First 3 blocks: +4 per block
    • Next 4 blocks (4–8): +2 per block
    • Beyond 8 blocks: +1 per block
  • Base sword damage stays unchanged.
• ✅ Full Wind Burst effect – Launches the player based on enchantment level (I: ~8 blocks, II: ~16, III: ~24), knocks back nearby mobs, and activates redstone devices (pressure plates, buttons, etc.).
• ✅ Multi-version support – Built on Paper 1.21.3 API, works with 1.21.0 – 1.21.4.

How to play
Hold your Wind Burst sword → build up 3+ blocks → jump and attack a mob right before landing → trigger Smash + Wind Burst → chain your jumps!

FAQ

• Q1: Does this affect the vanilla Mace + Wind Burst?
  A: No. The Mace still works exactly as before. This plugin only adds sword support.

• Q2: Can I use commands to enchant a sword with Wind Burst?
  A: Yes. Just use /enchant <player> wind_burst <level>. It supports vanilla command syntax.

• Q3: Why do I sometimes die from fall damage after a smash?
  A: That's the risk-reward mechanic from the vanilla Mace! It forces you to use the wind launch to chain multiple jumps, not just one big drop. Use an ender pearl or hay bale to reduce fall damage if needed.

• Q4: Does it work with modded swords?
  A: Only vanilla sword types for now. Future config may allow custom item whitelists.

• Q5: Does it support 1.20.1 or 1.19?
  A: No, because Wind Burst is a 1.21-only enchantment. Older versions lack the core mechanic.
