Happy Ghast harnesses have been fully re-modeled & re-textured — they're much more detailed and much less ghastly now!
Design Info
The harness/saddle has been redesigned with a larger focus on practicality. This includes details such as...
- Straps & buckles to keep the harness in place,
- Built-in ladders for easier mounting & dismounting,
- A proper place for the jockey/rider(s) to sit,
- And more!
Inspiration for the design was also taken from aviator hats. They already have the goggles — they may as well complete the look.
Aside from the updated design, the model itself is more intricate, having proper 3D depth instead of only using flat textures. With the ghast being as large as a 4 block cube, the completely flat harness used in vanilla looks really out of place to me. At that scale, surely there should be some depth, right? Even carpets aren't that flat!
No z-fighting or any weird clipping.
All 16 color variants are included.
The inventory icons have been updated to match the new harness design.
It's not just the harnesses themselves that have been reworked! The ropes which appear on a Happy Ghast while it's carrying a boat or a large creature have also been retextured. Their new design is primarily based on the netting of vintage hot air balloons.
NOTE: As of 1.21.7, most of the ropes' texture cannot be seen during normal gameplay since it will always covered by a harness.

Ghasts appearing to shrink slightly when a harness is equipped is fully vanilla behavior. This is not caused by nor affected by this resource pack.
