About This Pack
This modpack is primarily about surviving on an island while living in harsh conditions. The experience is set by you, and there are two primary play-styles I want you guys to be able to choose. One is a horror-like island, all about getting scared and being frightened by nearly everything you see. The other is a tropical-like island. One you might see in movies, yet you will still have to survive on it from everything, it will be less scary. 2 shaders will differentiate the whole experience. The Insanity shader is used to make the game feel scarier. It has darker nights, more fog, less saturation and a gray sky. The Kappa shader, on the other hand, is much more vibrant, clear, and feels tropical in a way.
What's in This Pack?
- An island made with World Painter that has dense tropical biomes, coastlines, and a variety of interesting spaces to explore.
- Many Atmospheric sound design features that react with the environment to make the game feel more alive.
- Survival-focused progression and plenty of exploration.
- Compatibility with both Kappa and Insanity shaders (included in the pack).
- Optimization mods will be included in later versions to help the experience run smoothly on mid-range and low-range hardware.
- A great horror experience for anyone wanting to play the darker side of Minecraft.
What are the Primary Features That Will Soon be Added?
Currently, the plan is to include dinosaurs in a future update. I also want to focus a lot on the map, as it is still in development by me, and only about 30% of it is actually nearing completion. The area that is completed still needs to be refined anyway, so you can expect plenty of changes with the map in the next few versions. I will be adding mods that add more features over time, with more horror features and animals that you can interact with over the course of your survival. In the foreseeable future, there may be the addition of pre-made structures on the map that will be crafted by hand from me.
