This is a very big modpack. and not just for the amount of mods included. Thanks to jjthunder to the max and hell is fire, the world height and generation for the overworld and the nether top out at 2032 blocks tall from 0.
This pack also has extra structures and Biomes. The biomes tend to mesh in weird ways where there will be small blockes of biomes inside of a bigger main biome. Theres also some weirdness with the weather in some of the new biomes. Things generating at propper world heights seem to have normal weather. Modded biomes generated above vanilla world heights tend to be snowy.
There's also lots of the tech and magic mods Mekanism, Applied energistics, Ars. Then the part's that made creating this modpack really hard to do. Create Aeronautics and a Datapack to adjust airpressure for the new massive world height.
So what does it take to run this? If you can already run minecraft and have atleast 10Gigs of ram you could allocate to it you should be fine. Hosting servers gets demanding quickly though. With me a friend and the distant horizons pregen running the server was sitting at 15-20Gigs ussage and 16 Threads maxed as far as cpu goes.
